Help for parents & guardians
This guide walks through the main things you can do on this website. For short answers to common questions, see the FAQ. Steps that need you to be signed in are called out below; everything else is available to anyone browsing the site.
Parent account & sign-in
Go to Parent Login (also in the header). Enter the mobile number your provider has on file. You will receive a one-time verification code (PIN) to complete sign-in.
After you sign in, the site may send you to complete My Details, accept the enrollment acknowledgement, or Add/Update Child Information before other tasks — follow the prompts until you reach the page you need.
My Details (profile & contacts)
Requires sign-in. Open My Details under Parents.
- Update your display name, contact information, and how you want to receive live daily sheets (email and/or web portal), where configured.
- Add or update alternate pickup contacts and custody-related notes when your provider asks for them.
- Upload legal / custody documents when required; you can remove uploads you added yourself from this page.
Enrollment acknowledgement
Requires sign-in. Your provider may require you to review and sign an enrollment acknowledgement (sample or DocuSign-style flow).
Use Enrollment acknowledgement when the site redirects you there (when your provider requires the in-portal agreement step in General settings), or ask your provider if you are unsure whether it applies.
Registering & updating children
Requires sign-in. Use Add/Update Child Information under Parents.
- Add a new child profile or edit an existing one (health, allergies, emergency context, and other fields your provider collects).
- Registering a child does not reserve care by itself — use Book a Spot to request dates.
Booking spots
Requires sign-in. Open Book a Spot.
- Choose a child, location, date, and time window (full day, morning, afternoon, or hourly where offered).
- Request recurring patterns when your provider has enabled them; the page shows availability and any limits that apply.
- Review upcoming bookings on the same page and use Edit to change a pending or confirmed reservation where allowed.
- Cancellations and fee rules follow your provider’s policies; the site reflects the statuses your centre staff set.
Paying for bookings
When online payments are enabled for your site, completing a booking may take you to checkout to pay by card or other configured methods, including split / co-pay options if your provider set them up.
If payments are not configured yet, the checkout area will tell you to contact your provider instead of charging a card online.
Checkout links are opened from your booking flow (for example after you confirm a fee). If you have a pending payment email or text from your provider, use the link they sent or return to Book a Spot and open your booking’s payment step from there.
Sick days & vacation
Requires sign-in. On the Information Hub, find the Upcoming bookings section.
- Mark a day as sick or vacation when your child will not attend but you want to keep the booking pattern on record.
- Use clear absence if plans change and your child will attend after all.
- Some programs use these marks to offer openings to families on the on-call list — your provider can explain how that works for your location.
Information Hub (policies, guide, tax receipts, messages)
Open Information Hub under Parents. Parts of the hub are public; others appear after you sign in.
- What to bring & drop-off / pick-up: General guidance for families (public).
- Parental guide (PDF): When your provider uploads a guide per location, use the Download guide buttons. Each link uses a secure token for that file.
- Policies & get started: Quick links to profile, child registration, booking, and waitlists (some steps require sign-in).
- Tax receipts: After sign-in, eligible receipts appear on the Information Hub for download when your provider has issued them.
- Daycare mailbox: After sign-in, you may be able to send a message to staff when messaging is installed. If the mailbox is not available, the page will say so — call your provider for urgent changes.
- QR check-in: When enabled for a child, you can view or download a QR image from the hub for staff to scan at drop-off or pick-up.
Calendar downloads & subscribe
Requires sign-in for feeds tied to your account.
- Download .ics (snapshot) — one file you can import into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, etc.
- From the Information Hub, when your account has a calendar link, you can also subscribe so bookings and provider closure days stay updated (treat subscription URLs like a password).
Waitlists & on-call openings
Requires sign-in.
- Daytime waitlist — join a waitlist for recurring full-day, morning, or afternoon care at a location, with weekday preferences.
- On-call list — sign up to be notified when a short-notice opening might match your child’s age group, weekday, and slot type (often after another family marks sick or vacation).
- If you receive an on-call offer, open the link in the message (or on this site under pending offers) to accept or decline on the on-call response page before it expires.
Daily sheets & attendance
Requires sign-in. These appear in the Parents menu when you are logged in:
- Daily sheets — view notes, meals, and photos staff share for your child. Download any photos you want to keep; they are only kept online for a limited time.
- Attendance records — review attendance history your provider records.
Costs, locations & menu
From the main navigation (available without signing in):
- Costs — published rates and fee context.
- Locations — addresses, hours, and how to reach each site.
- Meal menu — sample or live menus when your provider maintains them.
